Here are the rules for the Jane Austen drinking game.

One must take a drink when:

1. inadequate dowery

2. small dogs

3. first one to call a womanly skill is safe, next time it is shown, the others have to drink (ex: piano forte).

4. woman looses her countenance (2 drinks)

5. retention of countenance (3 drinks)

6. spontaneous equestrianism

7. falling in love (1 shot)

8. esteem and/or regard

9. womanly skill plus failure to observe rank is a double count—which means the last person to take their pinky off their drink has to chug
