I’m only doing it because it scares me and I want to stop being intimidated by things like that (because remember when I was about 14 and I would audition for anything and everything? I even used to dance and I was appalling.) Everyone else at Act One is amazing and I haven’t acted in two years, so I am going to be really very bad and I’m probably going to want to curl up and...

Cornflakes are so good that one bowl in the mornings is just never enough, but eating two is greedy and uses too much milk.

easterparades:
I’m tired of having to defend female characters’ mothering capabilities, from Cersei Lannister to Betty Draper to Regina Mills. I’m tired of having to see the view that a bad mother is the worst thing a woman in fiction can be.
Because from a narrative point of view, what…

Whenever I write my journal at the moment it’s always “blah blah blah I’m so happy blah blah blah everything in my life is just going so well at the moment blah blah blah life is perfect right now”.
When I’m old and bitter and reading it over I can tell I am going to be pissed off at how cheerful and content I was.

What a nice day.
Skipped my lecture (wise move) and went to Chapter with Josey and Helen to sort some Measure stuff out, and then walked back to the city centre through Canton so we could go charity shop costume-hunting. There is a lot of awful crap in charity shops. The frightening thing is that at some point these people thought that buying a suede waistcoat or a silver spandex nightdress was a good life...

Cheese on toast and a glass of wine are a perfectly acceptable dinner-substitute when you’ve been building set for 8 hours, right?

When you have to decide if it’s worth putting a bra on to run to the kitchen and back. It’s weighing up the effort vs. potential embarrassment on both sides if flatmates boyfriend is in there.

It was awful. Mid hookup he started reading the titles of the books over my bed, which were about Russian imperial history. He then started asking me questions about the class I was reading the books for. I was like “WE HAVE TIME FOR THAT LATER, PLEASE CONTINUE.”

They were eating while I was cooking (and by cooking I mean putting my pizza in the oven) and then when I left them I said “I shall leave you now and eat pizza, drink wine and watch Coronation Street in my room and live a lovely single life.”

Rum is gross, in my experience.
Now that is interesting, because my mum always says it’s the only thing she won’t drink. I feel like it’s a risk to try new types of alcohol because you either have to commit to a bottle in a supermarket or a glass in a pub and if you don’t like...

So I’m watching Coronation Street (everyone shut up NOW it’s brilliant that’s why it’s been going on for FIFTY ONE YEARS) and Audrey’s drinking rum.
I’ve never had rum. Is it something I’m missing out on? What do you mix it with? Is it expensive compared to other spirits? Is it grape or grain?
